I began my tutoring work while I was in high school and continued during my time in college. I am a graduate of the Tulane University at New Orleans, with a bachelor's in Finance and Energy. I have tutored test preparation for the SAT. My experience in tutoring is in mathematics (Algebra - Precalculus), Physics, and Chemistry. While in college, I had the privilege of working with students from an underprivileged background that were struggling with their elementary school work. Many of my students had previously failed grades or classes and were in the process of retaking them when I worked with them. I found great success with many of my students and am happy to say that several were even able to make the honor roll because of the work we did. I honestly see my work as a way for me to give back to my community. I often find myself learning through the experience of helping students to learn difficult-to-them concepts. I try to focus on figuring out where the student is struggling so that I can build from that point. I think that a good base knowledge is the starting point to build new learning on. When I am not working, I like to spend time with my friends, play tennis, fish, and play all kinds of games.
